President Trump held a meeting to crack down on trafficking rings

President Trump has vowed to use the full force of the US federal government to crack down on trafficking pedophile rings "at the highest level" as he meets with a team of experts who aim to "solve the horrific problem" that's happening in the United States, otherwise known as Pizzagate.

Trump also said that "solving the epidemic" is a priority for his administration, that he intends to oversee operations directly by "helping out a lot".

The President attributed a lot of the work to researchers and online journalists such as WikiLeaks and crowdsourced investigations on sites like Reddit and 4chan, saying that it was "made possible to a large extent, more of a modern phenomenon, by what's taking place on the internet, as you probably know."

He went on to say that the investigations have been ramped up over the last few weeks and that the federal law enforcers will be given even more resources to tackle the "epidemic";

"I'll direct the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies that have a role in preventing human trafficking, to take a hard look at the resources and personnel that they're currently devoting to this fight. Now they are devoting a lot, but we're going to be devoting more."

Mr. Trump also made solid reassurances that the trafficking rings are being fully investigated by "dedicated men and women", and have been for some time.

"Dedicated men and women across the federal government have focused on this for some time, as you know. A lot of you have been dealing with the federal government, and it's been much more focused over the last four weeks, I can tell you that."

After thanking the dedicated teams investigating the "terrible problem", the president went on to say that it isn't talked about enough, and people don't know enough about it before vowing to "bring it out into the open" and expose the "horrific, really horrific crimes".

In a statement about the press conference, former Huffington Post investigative journalist, David Seaman, said he believes that Trump is using his full resources to tackle Pizzagate, but he's also being wary to not scare the world.

"He's addressing Pizzagate and that's what today's press conference was about. He's not necessarily going to use the phrase "Pizzagate" and legitimize some online communities, but this is what he's talking about. He's trying not to scare the world, but it was addressed, and I feel so much better."

"I feel a thousand times better than I felt a week ago because this is really going to be brought down. We are really going to bring these things down."
